Developing Leadership in the Psychological Professions - Calls for expressions of interest

Developing Leadership in the Psychological Professions

Psychological professionals are often well placed in taking up leadership and management responsibilities in health care, but may have specific development needs to translate core competencies into or enhance their leadership and management competencies. The current leadership academy generic offers may not be widely known to this group of professions.

We are therefore looking for a highly motivated psychological professional with specialist expertise and a passion to deliver a scoping paper on a leadership and management competence framework, including identification of competence gaps for the psychological professions and how to address these, recommendations for enhancing diversity among leaders and managers within the psychological professions workforce, and a project evaluation plan.

We are working towards service user and carer involvement in all of our work, and require a high level of commitment to consult and involve service users and carers at all stages of the project.

In the first instance, we are looking to commission a scoping paper that would need to be delivered by 30th June 2019. This would then be reported back to the PPN KSS Steering Group to inform further decisions, and would also have a potential impact on national developments.

We are interested in hearing from a suitably qualified individual, and expect the candidate to work collaboratively with experts in the region. We anticipate that this piece of work could be completed in up to ten days of work. We would have a small amount of backfill money available to cover the cost.

Please contact the PPN KSS to express your interest by Friday, 22nd February 2019 at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
